Cagrilintide is a long-acting, acylated synthetic amylin analogue developed to act as a dual amylin and calcitonin receptor agonist, promoting satiety and inhibiting food intake. It is designed for once-weekly subcutaneous injection for the management of obesity and type 2 diabetes, frequently studied in combination with semaglutide (known as CagriSema).
